The shield of the Union Pacific arrived on the South Park when UP acquired the narrow gauge in 1879, and UP energy created its Leadville Highline over Boreas Pass, plumbed its Alpine Tunnel to the Gunnison country, and spiraled the Georgetown Loop up Clear Creek.  So when "Colorado Cool-Aid" (Coors) traveled to the mining camps of the Shining Mountains, it did so in reefers looking like this.
