From Virginia’s Tidewater to timber, Southern Railway subsidiary A&D’s James River Division was a 54 mile narrow gauge branch. It operated until 1938. The A&D derived this herald by a modern variation of the weathervane used by SR in the 19th century. Here it is augmented by a bit of Southern green for the family touch as it might have been applied to a narrow gauge car.
