Perhaps no railroad so small (20 miles) enjoys so much affection. Affection during its lifetime — the nickname “Never Come Never Go” was both joking and affectionate, not otherwise — and since then. Equipment was very plain. Freight cars lettered with only road initials and car number. It is therefore appropriate that the herald and nickname be added to a boxcar as distinguishing marks for a road so well remembered.
