The V&T proudly maintained a spirit of humor from its Comstock heritage. The ghost of Mark Twain still chuckles on the boardwalks of Virginia City. So when Ward Kimball, on the occasion of a railfan excursion, drew this cartoon comparing the bonanza road’s ancient engines to those of its neighbor, the short line bought the rights. And proceeded to plackard shippers with little stickers like the one above.
