The redwood coast draws thousands each year to ride its famous “Skunk” train. When CWR&N built boxcars in the Twenties, they also bought the first “Skunk”, so named by the lumberjacks because of the gasoline smell wafted in its wake. No longer do the Skunks smell, but the redwoods remain for all to enjoy. Authentic yesteryear lettering coupled with the famous herald born by today’s Skunks.
