On the prototype, chalk marks were a type of shorthand used to indicate destinations, track number, industrial siding, car condition, etc. They were made using white chalk, charcoal, black and yellow grease pencils, etc. Our chalk marks were copied from the prototype and will lend authenticity to your models. We have included some art forms, such as Bozo Texino and J.B. King, Esq. (written without lifting the chalk).
